Tis the Season

Just a few pictures from the Christmas holidays.  We all had a very blessed Christmas with our family and loved ones. We had a bitterly cold (17 degrees) white Christmas, and a few beautiful days afterwards.
I pray you are all safe and blessed with loved ones around you and we wish a happy new year to you!
Our tree is rustic this year.  Camo burlap bow and garland!
We had cold weather and the fireplace was a wonderful treat!
Paige was missing the kids... waiting for them to come home for Christmas.
Here's the silly gang... Sidney, Aerin, Jack, Tyler and Hayden in the middle.
Crazy picture time.  I guess Tyler thought I said "Look like you are sleeping!"
They all got the smiling picture right.

The hunting continues!

A couple of hogs a beautiful buck and a doe for me.  We have had a tremendous season.  I'm still looking for my buck.  Hope to have some good luck on New Years Day.  PS - My eyes look scary in this picture... don't zoom in!

Filling up the freezer... yum!

Its hunting season, or as other's have referred to it, that time of year your husband grows that big bushy beard.  And both are correct statements.  And its also that time of year to fill the freezer so that the grocery bills are a little more bearable.  First and second kill goes to Johnny.  But I came up strong with number 3!
Big sow on our lease in Turkey, Texas.

Beautiful buck Johnny smoked in Pampa, Texas.
BIG BIG boar - around 225 pounds - I shot in Turkey, Texas.  Sorry about the dark picture.

Aerin Cheering.

Here are a few video's of Aerin tumbling and cheering for the Sundown Roughnecks last Thursday.  She's in the black jacket.  And it was cold as I'm sure you can tell by the hats and jackets that most of the girls had on.
She's a natural!

Urban Cowboy Poppy

My awesome dad at the State Fair in Texas.  The bull's name is diabetes and Poppy is kicking that bull's butt!!!

S'more Sports

Hayden's team is really rolling along this year.  They've had such a great year and they are a really great team.  They had their first loss of the season on Thursday, but it wasn't a shut out, and they fought really hard and did a great job!  #61 is my favorite!

We finally got to watch Aerin at a Cross Country meet.  We went to Sundown to watch her run against about 200 other 7/8th graders.  200...starting all spread out across the football field, and at the same time!
First curve... she's relaxed.  No biggie.

Little over halfway.. still pretty calm.
And then THIS is finish line face.  The girl beside her looks like she's going to pass out!  She didn't.
And Aerin sailed past her and another girl to take 12th place!!  She ran so well all season.  So very proud!!

Paige - New Family Addition

We have adopted a new pet - Paige.  She's super sweet and smart and all of those things that new parents say about their new kido.  Except for the house training, she's fitting in very nicely.  And she loves loves loves her family.

How she sleeps like this, I have no idea.

2012 Sports

Welcome to fall!  That means football, cheer leading, marching band and cross country - until October, and then it means hunting.

Tyler is still playing the quads.  He's first chair and he's pretty awesome... I mean really he is.
Yes, I'm his mom, but really.

And Aerin is excelling at cross country this year.  She runs against 7th and 8th grade girls and has pulled a 10th place out of 100 kids and a 6th place out of 300 kids!!  Aaaamazing!!!!

But she is more excited about getting to cheer for the 7th grade football team.  I think it could be her calling in life - well, her 7th grade calling anyway. (Top row, third from the left with the cute blue bow!)

And Hayden the bulldog Hunt is the center on his 7th grade football team.  Their team won their first game against Stratford.  What a thrill! His game jersey is 61, but his practice jersey is 30... not confusing at all.

So between trying to make it to all the events we can - and sleeping - we are pretty blesssed with business this year!  I'll try and keep you all posted as the fall progresses!
