Mrs. Laura Bush

This is my handsome husband who went to a fancy-schmancy dinner that he had to wear a coat and tie to, so that I could hear the most wonderful first lady in American HISTORY speak... Mrs. Laura Bush! This is a picture from after the event, and we both look very tired!

And this is a picture of Laura Bush, although not from the banquet we attended - I wasn't allowed to take pictures. We were each given a copy of her book, Spoken from the Heart, a commemorative coin from the evening, and she spoke a little about her life as first lady and answered a few questions. We had a wonderful dinner and she sat at the table next to us, exactly 12 yards away from me... give or take... We had a very nice evening and she is the epitome of grace and elegance.

And my husband is a really wonderful selfless man who went waaaaaaaay out of his comfort zone to do something so incredibly amazing for me... thank you Johnny!

Stratford Track Meet

Only two more meets to go for Tyler's track season... I feel like we just got started! He has improved his time each meet; that is his goal for the season - - and to run under 30 seconds.

His time at this meet was 30.8 ALMOST THERE!!! The first race he ran 32 seconds,

so he is doing great!Relaxing before his run. It was a balmy 40 degrees with 10,000 mile per hour winds, or maybe a little less, but not much this IS West Texas!!!They're off!He looks like he's about to collapse past the finish line every time.

Packing up for the trip home. Tyler had a great crowd to cheer him on. And I wanna tell you, Tyler man is NOT a runner. He's never been a runner. But he's really pushed himself this year and he is really in love with track. He will turn 13 in June, and I cannot tell you what an absolute JOY he is!!! I know, I know, teenage years are coming....

and he's pretty darn cute.... we might be in trouble!

Lubbock Meet...

Only 2 more gymnastics meets to go before we find out if Aerin has qualified to go to Nationals in San Antonio.

She placed 4th in Trampoline, 4th in Floor and 5th in Double-Mini Saturday in Lubbock.

Tyler's Track Meet

The cool calm and collected Tyler Hunt.... ready to run... but had to wait 2 more hours for his flight to be called - and that's why this picture is a lot lighter than the running picture.

First track meet for Tyler this year...actually, ever!... and he got 2ND PLACE in the 200 meter dash!! He only got 2ND place because some other kid barely barely edged him out by like a millionth of a second...

Not throwing up, but close...

He's telling Johnny how hard he ran and how hard his stomach is cramping up... but he doesn't care he really loved it! Can't wait for his next meet! That other kid better be ready for Tyler next time!
