WOW what a busy weekend...

.... and we survived!!!
We had a couple of baseball games, a band concert, a trip to Fort Worth, Aerin's Regional Gymnastics meet, a birthday party, a trip to Six Flags, and a long car trip home!!
It was all absolutely worth it!!!

Band Concert

Tyler's Spring Band Concert was Thursday, May 13, at the Amphitheater at Lake Meredith - and actually only 2 miles from our house.
Their band played great. They received a sweepstakes trophy and highest rated 6th Grade Band at the contest they went to this year.

Tyler was surprised with the Outstanding 6th Grade Percussionist award!!

Great Job Tyler!!

Jack Turns 4!!!

This little man is such a joy! While we were in Fort Worth for Aerin's gymnastics meet, we stayed in Weatherford with my brother, Shane and his wife, Jenny, and their two kids Sidney and Jack. Jack turned 4 while we were there, and had a super cool Spiderman Birthday Party. And we had lots of fun being there with him and his family.
Thank you so much for sharing your birthday with us Jack!!

Six Flags!!!

The whole gang at Six Flags. They are ready to ride EVERYTHING and they just about did!!

I got Tea Cup duty because I can do the "roundy-round" rides and not get sick.

Johnny got the Pirate Ship because that DOES make me a little queasy! The kids all got superhero or villain capes for winning a game. And for SOME REASON the Joker didn't like Aerin's Batman Cape.... so he fixed it for her!

Tyler chose the right one!

Blessings

I love to watch my kids play with their cousins. Its so wonderful to see them - after being apart since Christmas - just pick up right were they left off. They love each other so much. I hope we can see them again very soon!

Here is a picture of my dad with all his grandkids!

And my mom with the kids.... you know Hayden must be in that stage where he just refuses to take a nice picture... hope he grows out of that one really quickly!

Happy Mother's Day!

I had a wonderful mother's day weekend with my family and loved-ones. We had dinner with my mom and grandmas on Saturday, and we took my mother-in-law fishing on Sunday. It was nice and relaxing - a little chilly - but a really fun day for our whole family.

Its a beaver dam...I thought that was pretty cool

Johnny and his momma caught three HUGE bass!!!

They have the best smiles!!!!!

Both Tyler and Hayden really really shined! They had so much fun - especially fisherman Hayden!

See any family resemblances in these last two????

Like mother like son!!! HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!!!

Baseball Season Begins!

Tyler's first game was Saturday. He's on the Outlaw's. They had an opening day ceremony Saturday morning and then a game that afternoon.

Tyler played second base - and did a great job. But he tends to get really nervous when he is up to bat. I videoed his first trip to the batters box- look for the giant sigh of relief and the audible YES!!!! at the end of his turn at bat....
