Fishing

I know you can tell.. we like to fish. And some of us do it very well!!!

Big 5th Grade Dance!

This is so hard to write. Tyler is leaving elementary school this year and will go to middle school in the fall as a 6th grader. Wow. Doesn't seem right. But, to celebrate the end of their year, the 5th Graders (really, the 5th grade parents) had a dance. At first Tyler was nervous, then excited, but he had a really great time. This is Tyler and his girlfriend Alex.

Recorder Concert

This is a true testament to a parents love.... listening to about 20 third graders attempt to play 9 songs on the recorder - at the same time. There was giggling, there was eye rolling, there were tears; and that was just from the parents. However, Hayden did a great job. We are very proud. And we know that he was playing all the songs as well as he could because he had practiced them allll at home for many many MANY weeks. Good job Hayden!!!

Grandad's Bluebonnets

I love Grandad's bluebonnets. They grew all winter long and they are so pretty now! Hope mine start growing soon!

Fishing Weekend

Its almost summer and the weather was beautiful this weekend and perfect for fishing. We did pretty decent too. Grandma kicked our butts the second day. She's the champion. The boys had lots of fun - but we missed Aerin so much. Can't wait to see her soon.
I caught a few fish... a bass, a catfish... oh, and a turtle. I screamed, well, like a girl. The guys thought I had a snake. I didn't care what it was - just wanted it off my line.

Mother's Day Surprise

This Saturday we had a couple come and buy our hot tub, so I went out to help load it with them, and we found a little stow away hiding underneath!! So I fed him some bread and gave him some water. And he was snuggled up in the grass..... I thought we had a new ducky. Then the lady across the street came over to claim him. He belonged to her daughter. No new ducky for Mother's Day. I'm pretty ok with that.

Call Myth Busters !!!!

This is the coolest thing! Johnny is an EXCELLENT marksman (although he would argue with me) and he "robin hood" an arrow last night. That's when you shoot an arrow and it lands directly on top of another arrow and splits it. THAT is a tough thing to do. I tried to get a good picture of it and we hung it up on one of his trophy antlers. So cool!!!

Biker Boys

Aerin has riden on her daddy's bike since she was little bitty. But its a pretty new thing for the boys. Tyler loves it... Hayden could take or leave it!

Baseball is Going!!

Here are the misfits - I mean, Indians. Hayden was our catcher for that game.
Hayden playing catcher.
Hayden has gotten a big hit every game - But of course, batting is his favorite!
As of today (Monday, May 4) both boys have a 1 and 1 season.
I don't have good pictures of Tyler playing. His games have been at 8:00 and it gets a little dark. I'll have better pictures when we get to play an early game. Here he is warming up and getting ready to bat. He hit a line drive right at the pitcher. Wish I'd gotten a picture of that!
