Merry Christmas to all of our family and loved ones - near and far.

Another One Bites the Dust!!!

Yes another one down..... Johnny has had an incredible hunting season this year, and today we add "Noel" to our wall of trophies.

(OK, seriously, if anyone has any good recipes for venison, SEND THEM MY WAY!!)

Jr. High Band Concert

Tyler is a percussionist in the Jr. High Band and this was his very very first concert. He looked incredibly handsome.... and he did a wonderful job. You can't actually see him in this picture; he was waaaaaaay in the back. But this is the WHOLE 6TH GRADE! Everyone is required to take band in the 6th grade.

Burritt's are Born to Hunt!! - Aerin' first doe!!!!

We had such a great weekend hunting - Johnny and Aerin and me - and brought home two deer - including Aerin's very first doe!!! We will have a freezer full of deer meat!!!

Shooting Range

Things I had never done before meeting my husband that I have done now....

Rode a motorcycle--- check

Shot and killed a deer ---- check

Gone camping ---- check

Shot a .22 at clay targets ---- CHECK

And most importantly, I love every minute of it! Thanks Johnny.

5 Mile Hike

No really, we took the kids on a little hike Saturday down at the lake that actually turned into a 4 hour hike of about 5 miles. This is how it looked. The papa duck leading all the baby ducks - and momma duck following behind.

This rock was right in the way of our hiking path, but they just couldn't get it to budge!

We had a beautiful day - great weather - great scenery - and the best kids!

They named him Drag - cause they had to "drag" him a LOOOOONG way to get him home!!

Spooooky Forest....

How's THIS for a spooky Halloween picture? The boys - all 3 - and mom went hunting this weekend. I shot this picture as the manly men went looking through the forest to track our deer.... We found our arrows - which means we missed our deer shots. Johnny says, that's why they call in HUNTIN and not GETIN!!

Corn Maze!!

We had a perfectly cold and miserable day to go to the Corn Maze in Amarillo, and STILL had a great time. I've never been through a Corn Maze before, so I trusted my experienced family and we made it through. Isn't this the CUTEST angora goat you've ever seen. I totally would have taken him home with us, but he smelled.... lolI did take the cute scarecrows and the pumpkin head home with me.

Opening Day - Archery Hunting Season

Opening day of Archery Season - or as we like to call it, Johnny's Christmas Day. We had an excellant weekend to hunt and came home with two big does. And we had the most beautiful place to hunt.

This is such a pretty part of the Panhandle, and we saw so many does and a few big bucks.

Happy Birthday Aerin

Last kid birthday of summer! Aerin turned 10 years old and she had an animals and bugs themed party. She's pretty adventurous. We love her so much!!!
