New Mexico Trip

Johnny and I took a great trip up to Taos and Santa Fe, New Mexico over Valentines weekend. He is building a bed for us and we needed to go up to the mill in Taos to buy some lumber - lucky for me - that's a pretty awesome place to go and relax.

We had a wonderful time and saw some beautiful scenery.
We went to the Rio Grande Gorge outside of Taos. I am terrified of hights but I did pretty well and we got some good pictures too.

I thought the teepees were cool just south of Taos.

You might remember, Johnny loves to remodel old gas pumps and we happened upon the "mother lode" of all things gas pump related. This guy, Johnnie, has a museum located around Espanola, New Mexico, and has an outstanding collection of gas pumps and gasoline memorabilia.

Snow Snow Snow

We've been "blessed" or "cursed" with an extreme amount of snow this season. We had a good foot of snow fall - then another - and its snowing right now as I type! Of COURSE perfect sledding weather - here's my action shot of Tyler sledding. The cold ride back up the hill.

On a particular heavy snow day, there were about a dozen mule deer laying in the snow out by our house. They were either totally unafraid of us - or too cold to move.

Either way, we got some amazing pictures.
