We took the kids to the lease this weekend for some hunting and fishing. Aerin and Johnny took to the tree stand - where Johnny shot a big tom turkey... but the coyotes got to it before he could even get down out of the tree to retrieve it!! Notice a pattern here... we have a coyote problem!
The boys and I hunted out of the ground blind. We didn't get any opportunity to shoot, but it was neat to sit and listen to the sounds around us. We heard pigs, we heard deer blowing and walking through the forest around us. And we heard the coyotes going at Johnny's turkey, we just didn't realize it!
And even in October, we can manage to catch a couple of fish in the cold cold stream. The kids had a great time together just hanging out.
The kids look like they aren't too happy here.... I'm not sure what happened before this picture was taken, but it doesn't look good.
